MISSIONS OVERVIEW

At Temple, we love to take the gospel to those in great need, those in far away places and those to whom the Lord sends us. Have you ever been on a mission trip? If not, a short-term mission trip will be absolutely eye-opening for you. You will experience many new things such as different cultures, different lands, new ways of doing things, and so on. Most of all, you will be blessed as you work for the Lord with none of your everyday distractions. A mission trip, whether here in the United States or in a remote part of the world, is sure to build your faith and deepen your heart for missions.

Temple Baptist Church’s missions’ team is one of the most exciting and innovative teams there are! The primary focus of our team is “taking the gospel to the people”. At Temple, we understand our Lord’s command to “go ye therefore and teach all nations”, (Matthew 28:19-20), to be one of the most important aspects of a Christian’s everyday life. Simply put, we must spread the good news of Jesus Christ to all nations so that all may hear. The missions’ team exists in order to help the church in fulfilling this great commission both here at home as well as around the world.

We have programs in place to be a blessing to those in need right here in our community while at the same time, sharing the gospel with them. We have missionaries that are financially and prayerfully supported by the members of Temple serving in various mission fields around the world. We  regularly organize mission trips so that we ourselves have the opportunity to visit the domestic and foreign mission fields.
