LIFE GROUP CONNECTIONS

Success at Temple Baptist Church is defined by how effectively our ministries move people from our large environments into our Life Groups.

At Temple, the life group is the best place for sustained life change to occur. In a life group, people study God's Word together and discuss the issues and challenges of life. It's also where they pray, care for one another, and are missed if they don't show up.

Practically speaking, there will never be a way for the staff to personally minister to everyone who attends our church. That's why we place such a high premium on group life. It's how we minister effectively at Temple. To find out more about life groups we encourage you to click on the links to the right. Or contact the Life Group leader Buchanan Jackson at:

LIFE GROUPS 101

Why should I attend a Life Group?
Life groups at Temple exist to help you grow up to full maturity in your relationship with God and others. You may be doing great in your Christian walk right now, but by being in relationship with fellow believers, you will experience even more of the abundant life Jesus has to offer. If you are ready to connect with other people, belong to something life-changing, and grow in Christ through relationships with other believers, then maybe it's time to get involved in a life group!

What is a Life Group?
A Life group is typically made up of six to twelve people who meet regularly during the week to share about their lives, support one another, and study biblical truths. Each group has a host and a leader (or one person may host and lead). Groups meet in a number of different locations around Cullman County, including coffee shops, restaurants, the church, and work places, but typically they meet in homes. Most groups meet weekly during evening hours and some meet in the morning or afternoon. Our goal is to accommodate the different needs of those in our church by offering a variety of options. Currently, we have several different types of Life groups: Women's, Men's, College, Married Couples, Single Parents, and Grief Recovery.

What do Life Groups do?
This can vary from group to group, but most groups have a time of fellowship, prayer, Bible or book study, discussion, and life application. All groups discuss Pastor Carter's weekend message more personally by using our Life Group Questions.

How do I find a Life Group?
The best way is to contact the Life Group Director, Buchanan Jackson directly. You can also sign up for a group online here (Coming Soon) and the Life Group Director will contact you shortly. Hopefully, you’ll feel right at home with the first group you visit, but you may want to visit several groups before you find the group that's right for you. If you feel a little nervous or unsure, just stick with it - you'll be happy you did! So, will you take the steps to find a Life group of your own?
