The Care Ministry Plan
1. Each FTA (First Time Attender) is welcomed by the Preacher
and given a Prayer Form. This form allows them to write down
specific prayer requests along with their name, address, and
phone number.
2. The Form is picked up by a Care Giver, who shakes their
hand, and welcomes them. This is done at their seat, before
the offering is taken up.
3. Each Care Team Member immediately goes to the Care Room
where each need written down by the FTA is told so that each
Team Member can pray for the needs during the service.
4. At the end of the service the Care Giver
goes to the FTA and asked them about the service and takes
them back to the Care Room where the Preacher is waiting to
talk to them and pray with them. In the room the Care Givers
without FTAs welcome and fellowship with the FTAs that are
there. Cookies and drinks are also provided.
5. On the day after the FTA's visit the Care Giver takes
a coffee cup to the FTA to say thank you, and to let them
know how much Temple Baptist Church Appreciated them visiting
yesterday.
6. During the week after the FTA's visit there are three
different phone calls made to the FTA; one from the secretary,
one from the team leader, and one from either the Preacher
or other staff members. Also during the week the prayer request
and needs that were written down are prayed for by a Prayer
Team Member.
7. On Saturday each FTA receives a call from their Care Giver
asking about how their week was, etc., and inviting them to
Church.
8. On the second visit the FTA is recognized during the service
by the Preacher. Each week for the next 4 weeks the FTA is
Called and Cared for by their Care Giver.
