He did get a little better toward the end of the session. Please continue to pray for him. Thanks for all the prayers.
Still not feeling too well. Went to Head Injury dr today and he said where he got his Botox in his left arm a little over a month ago looks great. He can extend his left arm fully. He said everything looks good to keep doing what he is doing. Praise God! Has to go back in 3 months. Didn't get to do PT bc had dr apt. In Speech he worked on memory and she said he did great. In OT had him do manipulation activity. Had to pick up coins and stack them on top of each other, pick up coins and put them in a container with a slit in it, and put coins in and take them out of his pocket and put in the container. Did some typing on the computer. After therapy he came home to rest before going to TSM. He is very tired. Please pray for him. Thank you.
He is still not feeling well. Has a sore throat too. Today was a long day so he is really tired. Today at school he worked on a project with Amanda in Foods and Nutrition. In therapy worked on motor planning, picking up coins and putting them in a cup. His muscle control in his upper body is better. Walked up the stairs and they walked him by holding onto his gate belt only. Praise the Lord! Usually have to hold his hands/arms but today were able to hold just gate belt. He has a check up at the Head Injury dr tomorrow and then therapy. Please pray he feels better soon and hat everything goes well at the dr. Thanks.

He will be giving his testimony at West Elementary tomorrow morning (3/7) at 7:15 am. Please pray for him. Today in therapy he got his new foot brace. He walked around the loop with both his knee and foot brace in a little over 8 minutes. Fastest time so far. Praise God!! Retested his range of motion in his hamstrings and it is better. In speech worked on Attention to details. Had to read a paragraph and then remember certain details about what he read. In OT, he worked on building the top part of the crane, worked on activities for coordination and manipulation; grooved pegboard and put rubber bands on a rubber band ball. It's amazing at some of the activities they have him do that normally we wouldn't think would be challenging. We take a lot of things for granted. Thanks for your prayers. Please continue to pray for him.
At school today they had him stand and put golf balls on golf tees. Also walked him up the stairs without a brace on his left foot. He did have a knee brace on. He gets his new foot brace tomorrow. Nice relaxing weekend. Today at Spain he was retested on the walker but with the new foot brace. The therapist didn't have to touch him at all. He has improved so much. Walked the loop without the walker and did much better today. In OT he did the dexterity finger test and was tested on the 9 hole test. On this test he has to use one hand only and has to put small pegs in a hole then take them all out while being timed. He did so good. She also did a treatment on his left shoulder bc he said it was hurting. After therapy went and watched his teammates play baseball. He was so excited all day about going to the game. When we got home tonight, he got an encouraging letter from Mark Richt from UG. He is so excited. Thanks for the prayers. Please continue to keep him in your prayers.

Started building a crane which he will finish next visit. Had a good day. Enjoyed going to TSM. Thanks for the prayers.
Great day at therapy. PT: walked with malleoloc brace around the loop without walker, did some strengthening exercises for left foot, stepped over objects front and back leading with left. He felt better after he ate lunch but was ready to go home. He laid around this afternoon resting. Thanks for all the prayers. Please continue to pray for him.
He socialized this morning with Spencer, Wesley Walker and Patrick Britton. The guys were giving him a hard time trying to get him to do stuff like tie his shoes. Andy wanted to arm wrestle them and at one point he literally wrestled Patrick to the ground. Watched a video in food and nutrition about meat processing. Went to LT at Spain. He has been really tired but had a good day. Alex and Brittany came to see him. He was in bed at 6:30 resting. Please continue to pray for him and his recovery. Thanks for all the prayers.

Pray God will also be with him and everyone there tomorrow night. Thanks for the prayers.
He is still not feeling well. The Dr gave him some medicine so maybe he will feel better soon. In PT today, he walked without walker with two therapists 400 feet in 12 min. Best time so far. Remeasured his range of motion in his left foot and it has improved a lot. Did stretching exercises on his left foot without his brace and also worked on shifting his weight to his left hip when he walks. In OT, did a fine motor activity. Therapist said it was too easy for him that his control has gotten better so she gave him something harder. He had to clip clothespins on steel rods. He did good. In speech he worked on saying his testimony. To top it off he enjoyed watching his teammates play their first games of the season. He told me on the way to the game today that he would be out there playing next year. I told him to keep working hard. He enjoys baseball so much. Said his intellectual is great. His reading level is at a college level but still lacks in comprehension. On the academic part of the test he improved a good bit. He still has problems with processing and fine motor. Overall received a good report. God is good!! He will still go to Spain for rehab but will be able to go to school more as long as he can handle it endurance wise. In therapy yesterday, did a lot of stretching, worked on shifting weight, walked upstairs from locker room (whole flight), and walked on his walker. In speech did figurative language analogies. Today spent the day at the baseball field watching his teammates win both games. So happy to be back at the ball field. Please pray for his Neuropsych testing on Monday. Thanks for all the prayers.
Andrew had a doctor appointment at Spain today and got Botox injected in his left arm in two places to help loosen it up. Great day at therapy. Retested him today in PT on walking and he was faster and the therapist didn't have to hold onto him at all. Andrew had a great week at school last week. He improves every day. Most of you saw the video that was posted on Facebook yesterday of him walking down the hall. It's truly amazing how much he has improved from Christmas day. When he walks we are just there for support. He pretty much does it on his own. God is a healing God! We can't express how thankful we are to everyone for the prayers. God is blessing him daily. Today at Temple, the service was so awesome. While singing Amazing Grace, (with the walker in front of him) Andrew raised his hand praising God without holding on. Now only God can do that!! Thank you Lord!!! Please continue to pray for his recovery.

Also did the stairs. In OT, he did the Biodex with weights, did an activity where he put bolts on screws, connect the dots and handwriting. In speech, worked on expressing his vowels. The speech therapist wants him to speak without a country accent. Told her he has the Bug Tussle slang. Good luck getting rid of that. Lol. He has been very agitated today. Please pray for him on that and for his recovery. Thanks.

Also did some exercises where he steps with his left foot over an object. Praise God for his continued improvement. In OT, did shoulder ladder, an activity where he takes out multi colored pegs and places them into another hole. It was funny because he made sure each row had the same color peg. Loves watching them play. We have noticed that his short term memory is getting better. Praise the Lord! Please continue to pray about his ataxia. Thanks for all the prayers.
Andrew worked really hard today in therapy. PT: he walked the loop twice on his walker, walked the best I have seen him on the parallel bars and he did an activity where he held onto the bars and stepped over and back certain objects with his left foot. OT: did shoulder ladder, handwriting without the slant board, and took balls from one container and placed in another container alternating hands while standing. He did so good. On the way to therapy this morning (he does it a lot) he would look at the symbols on different vehicles and name what they were. Pretty impressive that he knows them. He will do and say certain things that show us that he is getting better every day. It's amazing how God is healing him. God is good! Went to TSM tonight and had a great time. Thanks for all the prayers. Please continue to pray for him and his ataxia.

He got his glove while still on the mat and grounded balls. Then he got hisself from floor onto the couch. He also sat by himself on the stability ball. So amazing how God is healing him. He is very tired tonight from all the therapy. Thanks for all the prayers. Please continue to pray.
Today Andrew went to Spain. In PT, he walked around the loop, walked up the stairs while holding a cane in one hand and holding onto the rail with the other. So now he thinks he can use the cane all the time. Keep reminding him not yet. He got out of the chair onto the mat, did some mat work and then got back into his chair with a few tries. In Speech, he has homework to do. Has to remember who his school therapists are. In OT, he worked on a thing called the arch where he had to bring the object from one side to the other He also stacked cones. After he got home, he worked on the shoulder ladder and now he is doing activity where he gets a shower ring and has to raise his arm and place the ring on a rod. He has walked a lot today. Went to TSM tonight and listened to a wonderful message. Thanks for the prayers. Please continue to pray for his recovery.

It's so amazing how God has been with Andrew through this journey. When he was at Shepherd Center, there were these parallel bars that we saw other patients using to walk on. We said several times how we couldn't wait till Andrew could walk on them. Today our wish came true. He walked back and forth on them today. PRAISE GOD!! Speech therapist is still amazed at how well he does his math. He is doing high level problems which is amazing. Problems that you have to plan out your day with times etc. She is so tickled that he is back at school. In OT he did daily living activities such as button and unbutton clothes, Velcro, zipper, snaps, tying laces, etc. Also opened and closed different types of containers. So proud of his progress. Went to TSM tonight and enjoyed it. Thanks for all the prayers. Please pray for a safe travel to and from Birmingham Thursday.

Great day at Temple Baptist Church yesterday. Great service. After church he was tired, he came in changed clothes and went to bed watching movies for the rest of the day. And of course eating too. Today he went to Spain. The Physical therapist said he did the best so far while walking on his walker. He also did some work on the parallel bars. Went to Spain for locomotor training. You never realize how much there is to walking. The therapist was telling him how to use his arms, width of his steps, etc. Had him hold onto canes and the therapist had to move them back and forth while he was walking on the treadmill. It's truly amazing at the techniques they use to teach someone how to walk again. He did good. He was holding his body up better today. After therapy he had a dentist appointment to get his permanent crown from where he broke his tooth in the wreck. Hopefully that will help him. Went to Jadens practice and he was goofing off and making silly comments. Praise God for a good day. Thanks for all the prayers. He goes to school tomorrow and is excited. Please continue to pray for him.
In PT he did some mat work and activities on the parallel bars. Also did bicycle and walked on walker. He showed out in speech today. Andrew had a good day. He seems to be tired these last few days. They have been working him more in therapy so that could be why. He is doing better on his eating. OT worked with him again today on pushing his wheelchair. The dr gave him Botox injections in his left arm and shoulder. It should help him be more loose in that arm. His right foot has started turning in so PT made him a splint to wear during the day. Thanks for all the prayers. Please continue to pray for Andrew, Steven, and Talon.
Bo Winfrey: Hello Prayer Warriors, Holly and I have just talked and we ask everyone to please not visit this weekend. Andrew has got to rest and get ready for the trip home on Tuesday. We thank y'all so much for understanding and please continue to pray for him as we take God's plan home. The ride is probably going to take 4 to 5 hours and he really needs to be full force. Also we know everyone wants to see him but please we ask again no visitors for the 1st three days after we get home. Then we will see how he is doing and make a decision. Thanks so much for all the love and support from all of you throughout this journey. Praise God and we love all of you.
Andrew had another good day. He is eating well. OT worked with him on pushing his wheelchair down the hall. Had him use right hand/arm and right leg to push. She said he did better today that he was helping 50%. PT put a new machine on his right leg called Tibion bionic leg. It would measure how much he would use his leg to stand. It would activate when he was pushing with his leg. It looks like Robocop. He did good with it. She also said today was the first day he has been pushing some with his left leg to stand. Praise God!! Please continue to pray for Andrew, Talon and Steven. Thank you so much.
Bo Winfrey: Andrew and myself had a great day busy and tiresome but great. Praise God! Me and Andrew both are wore completely out. Andrew had an awesome day in therapy picking colors with little help. Doing the shape puzzles two of which he did all on his own. I wanted to jump up and down. He sat on booty the whole time just me with a hand on his shoulder. This is the second day in which he has ate three Jevity meals a day. He is doing so good with his eating. They have cut his tube feeding down as long as he keeps eating 50% of his meals. Praise God! Being all by myself today, taking care of Andrew and doing all the training was so gratifying and help me have peace so if we do have to bring him home. The nurses kept trying to help me with everything but, I kept telling them, please let me do it all. Thanks for all the prayers today, Andrew and I have really felt them today, everything just fell in place. Praise our wonderful heavenly Father. Thanks again and we love everyone. Please continue to pray for Andrew!

He made a sound but was not loud. Tried getting him to raise his thumb and he was trying but couldnt raise it yet. OT put him in the shower chair in the shower. He didn't take a shower. She was seeing if he could sit up enough. Helped him get his shirt off. Put it over his head and he slowly pulled it down with help. She then put it back over his head and had him try to finish getting it over his head. He would hold it with help and would move his head to get it over his head. Gonna try an actual shower tomorrow. He sat up in a regular chair today and did good holding himself up. Please continue to pray for him. The team that works with him is having their team meeting tomorrow. They will decide then if he is ready for rehab or if he goes home.
Morning Update: Temp is down. Praise God!! He is still being monitored by ICU. He has a portable monitor that shows on screen. Giving him meds for temp and for UTI. Dr still wanted him to do therapy today. He did good in therapy. Did the best he has done in speech. He was saying yes and shaking his head no. Had him standing in PT with help. In OT he brushed his teeth and rinsed toothbrush by tur...ning on the water. He wiped his mouth with a washcloth. She wrote down Andrew and Brian on piece of paper and asked him to point at his name. Then asked to point at Brian and he did both. She had 3 colored rings out in front of him and told him to point at the red ring and he did. Mixed the rings up and asked to point at the purple then green and he did. She was surprised at how well he did knowing he is not feeling well. God is so good!! Please continue praying for him. Then she had him put a couple shapes back in. He is having to learn which muscles to use to do certain things. It may take him a while to do it but seeing him progress is so awesome. He tries so hard. Speech had him following commands today. He was a little faster today than he was Friday. Which is good. She got him to whisper stop once and he shook his head no.
